PartnerStack and Profound Connect AI Visibility to Revenue Through New Integration

Profound × PartnerStack partner to give B2B teams a direct path from AI citation data to the content partnerships that shape AI answers.

When buyers ask AI tools, “What’s the best HR software for mid-market companies?” they get an answer. It’s confident. It’s specific. And it almost never comes from your website.

It comes from the publishers, review sites and affiliate blogs that AI models have learned to trust. For most B2B companies, those sources are either working for them or against them, and they’ve had no easy way to tell which — or to change the results.

Profound was built to solve the first half of that problem: showing you exactly which publishers are shaping AI answers in your category and where your brand stands. PartnerStack solves the second half: helping you do something about it.

Introducing the PartnerStack x Profound integration

We’re introducing the PartnerStack x Profound integration, which takes you from AI visibility insights to content activation and measurable revenue impact.

Profound surfaces AI citation data. PartnerStack helps you turn insights from that data into content activation. Together, they close the loop between AI visibility analytics and the content that shapes what AI says about your brand.

Profound tells you where you stand in AI search

Profound is an AI search intelligence platform that shows B2B companies exactly how they and their competitors appear across the major LLMs. It works by generating prompts based on the questions buyers ask during the research process, running those prompts through models like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and then extracting the answers to show which brands are mentioned and in what context, and which sources the models cite.

The citation layer is where it gets interesting. Profound breaks down every citation into four buckets:

  • Owned content, such as your blog and your site
  • Competitor content
  • Social sources, such asReddit, LinkedIn or YouTubeThird-party domains, e.g., the independent publishers, review sites and comparison guides that AI models treat as authoritative

For most brands, that third-party bucket is where the real story lives. Profound gives you visibility into which specific domains and URLs are influencing AI answers in your category. That’s where this integration comes in.

What changes with the PartnerStack x Profound integration

When Profound identifies the domains influencing AI answers for your key prompts, that data now flows directly into PartnerStack through Profound’s Agents workflow builder, a no-code automation layer that lets teams build and schedule custom workflows powered by Profound data.

This means the manual process of downloading a citation report, researching publisher contact information and trying to initiate outreach through disconnected tools is replaced by an automated workflow that runs on whatever schedule you set. Citation data moves from Profound into PartnerStack, where teams can see the cited domains, which ones to approach and what to do next, all in one place.

“AI is now the front door to the buying journey. The publishers and creators that influence what AI says about your category are the same partners our customers are already working with. This integration means they no longer have to choose between running a great partner program and owning their AI narrative — they can do both from the same place.”
— Bryn Jones, GM and Co-founder, PartnerStack

The workflow becomes:

  1. Profound surfaces the citation opportunity
  2. PartnerStack activates the content partnership
  3. AI visibility and revenue grow together

From citation data to content placement, using PartnerStack’s Content Marketplace

Knowing which publishers are shaping AI answers is one thing. Being able to reach them, agree on terms and activate a content placement without leaving PartnerStack is a different challenge. That’s where the Content Marketplace becomes the critical next step in the workflow.

The Content Marketplace is a browsable hub within PartnerStack where publishers and creators list their content channels up front, along with their rates and content formats. Brands can browse by category, pricing model or audience fit, and send a content request directly, no cold pitching required.

For Profound users, this is what the full loop looks like in practice:

  • Profound identifies which domains are citing your brand (or not) in AI-generated answers for your target prompts.
  • The integration automatically pushes that citation data into PartnerStack, surfacing those domains in the AI Cited Content tab.
  • The Content Marketplace lets you check whether those publishers have listings, browse their rates and content formats, and send a placement request, all without leaving the platform.
  • PartnerStack handles the relationship, payment and tracking from there.

The result is a workflow that goes from AI visibility insight to activated content placement without the friction of cold outreach, spreadsheet tracking or any other tools. For teams that have historically managed publisher relationships manually, this is a meaningful operational shift.

It also changes the economics of the outreach. Instead of approaching publishers as unknown quantities, Profound users arrive with data: this domain has been cited in AI answers for X prompts in the X category over the past Y days. That context makes it easier to frame the value of a placement and have a more grounded conversation about fit.

What you can do once Profound and PartnerStack are connected

Once a Profound user connects their PartnerStack account under Settings → Integrations in Profound and sets up a workflow, here’s what becomes possible:

  • See which cited domains are in the network. The Check Network node identifies which citing domains already have an active partner relationship in PartnerStack. This helps you understand your existing coverage and prioritize domains to reach out to.
  • Push citation data into PartnerStack automatically. The Recruit node syncs citation data on a schedule, so your AI Cited Content tab stays current as citation data changes week over week.
  • Browse publisher listings in the Content Marketplace. Once citation data is in PartnerStack, teams can cross-reference it against the Content Marketplace to find publishers with listings, review their rates and formats, and send a placement request.
  • Activate flat-fee, affiliate or hybrid content deals. Publishers in the Content Marketplace list what they’re offering and what it costs. Brands can activate the model that best fits, whether a flat-fee sponsored article, an affiliate arrangement or a hybrid of both.
  • Track traffic, conversions and revenue. All placements activated through PartnerStack are tracked natively, so teams can see which content placements are driving results and scale the ones that work.

Why third-party content is the right place to focus for AI visibility

Most brand content strategies are still heavily weighted toward owned channels. But the data on how AI models build their answers tells a different story.

According to a McKinsey report on AI search, a brand’s own site accounts for just 5 to 10 percent of the sources AI search references — meaning the vast majority of AI-generated answers are shaped by third-party domains like affiliates, publishers and user-generated content.

The publishers, comparison sites and independent blogs in any given category carry significantly more weight with LLMs than brand-owned pages, in part because those sources are designed to be objective, and in part because they’re the ones buyers turn to when they’re researching.

What this means in practice: the brands that show up in AI-generated answers aren’t necessarily the ones producing the most content. They’re the ones that have built relationships with the publishers that AI models treat as authoritative. Partner-led content is increasingly how AI visibility is built.

The Profound × PartnerStack integration means you can execute on that strategy. Profound tells you which publishers are already authoritative in your category. PartnerStack’s Content Marketplace gives you a direct way to activate content partnerships with them, at scale, inside a single managed program.

“The top-cited sources in LLMs are often third-party publications. Profound helps brands find the ones that matter most for their category. But actually getting placed in those publications has been a manual process. Our integration with PartnerStack fixes that.” — Trevor Pyle, Head of Marketing, Profound

The window to act on AI search is now

AI search is not an emerging channel. It’s already the front door for a significant and growing share of B2B product discovery. The buyers using it aren’t waiting for brands to figure out their AI visibility strategy; they’re already getting recommendations, and those recommendations are being shaped by the publishers in your category.

The brands that move now — identifying which publishers are influential, activating content partnerships with them and building those relationships inside a managed program — are the ones that will shape what AI says about their category. The ones that wait will inherit whatever story the publishers tell without them.
