Women in SaaS 2026 Report: Progress and Gaps — Exclusive Data Reveals the Reality for Women in SaaS Today

For International Women’s Day 2026, PartnerStack surveyed 100 women across B2B SaaS — from individual contributors to the C-suite — and the original data captures the lived realities of those shaping strategy, revenue, operations and growth.

Toronto — March 5, 2026 — PartnerStack marks International Women’s Day 2026 with the release of an exclusive Women in SaaS report grounded in original survey data.

To bring this year’s report to life, PartnerStack collaborated with seven partner organizations: Athena Collective, Channelnomics, Entreprenista, FreshBooks, MVF, Semantic Labs and UserGems.

Drawing on research from PartnerStack and its partners, the findings highlight a persistent paradox: even as AI adoption becomes universal and women’s operational influence continues to grow, structural recognition still lags. It’s a moment for the industry to move beyond the optics of inclusion and formalize the authority of the women already driving SaaS forward.

Women in SaaS: The Data

Launching on March 5, 2026, PartnerStack’s Women in SaaS 2026 Report explores topics ranging from formal decision-making authority and AI adoption to pay equity and career runway.

Key highlights include:

  • 70% of respondents feel they have fair opportunities, yet 44% report a gender gap in pay or recognition
  • 88% say remote or hybrid work is one of the most important organizational benefits, other than compensation
  • 100% used AI at work in the past year, and 84% used paid AI tools
  • 73% have left a role due to a lack of growth opportunities

Responses were collected from women across the SaaS industry through an anonymous third-party survey conducted in January 2026 with the goal to get the data on women’s work and influence across the ecosystem. The PartnerStack team behind the Women in SaaS 2026 Report analyzed insights from 100 respondents to identify the trends, barriers and opportunities explored in this report. The research was led by women and informed by professional lived experience.

“We continue to track the data on the work women are doing across the ecosystem — and this year's partnerships task force of women leaders is very invested in how AI and culture shifts are also influencing this,” says Chloe Tse, Director, Content Marketing at PartnerStack, who lives for PartnerStack’s annual campaign and centering conversations on underrepresented folx across B2B SaaS. “In 2026, women are designing the SaaS stack — with 78% of our respondents saying women are key decision-makers in software purchasing — up 2% from last year.”

This year’s report captures both the momentum and the friction shaping this moment for women in SaaS, offering a data-informed view of what it will take not just to participate in the industry’s future, but to actively shape it.

“The Women in SaaS 2026 Report captures data and insights on AI, ecosystem operations and more this year. It’s an illuminating read, and PartnerStack is proud to support and amplify the voices of women leaders across the ecosystem,” says Bryn Jones, CEO of PartnerStack. “The passion and stories from women leaders are inspiring — with customers, partners and friends of PartnerStack at the heart of this annual brand campaign.”

In 2026, a seat at the table alone is no longer the benchmark — true equity means equal authority and compensation.

“The Women in SaaS 2026 Report shows that women are a key part of GTM. As someone who specializes in leveraging data to make better decisions, I see this report as an opportunity for other leaders to gain insight into what matters most to women in our workplaces and from there, optimize for women,” says Ash Richardson, PartnerStack’s VP of RevOps. “I’m proud to be part of a campaign that is getting the data on women across our industry as it works to lift them up.”
